Description

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web and mobile applications.
• Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Develop and maintain automation test scripts for web and/or API testing using industry tools.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct regression testing after each release and ensure product stability.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks (Page Object Model or similar approaches).
• Execute API testing using tools like Postman and automate API test suites where applicable.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing for responsive applications.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Ensure software quality standards and SDLC processes are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test coverage, and automation efficiency.
• Support release validation and production deployment verification.

Requirement

Automation Skills (Mandatory for 3+ Years Market Standard)

• Selenium WebDriver (Java / Python / C#) or Cypress / Playwright
• TestNG / JUnit / PyTest (based on tech stack)
• API automation (RestAssured / Postman / Newman)
• CI/CD integration (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI)
• Basic knowledge of Git version control
• Understanding of BDD frameworks (Cucumber preferred)

Experience & Skills (Pakistan Market 2026 Standard)

Experience

• 3+ years in Software Quality Assurance

• At least 1–2 years of hands-on automation testing experience

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of SDLC & STLC
• Manual testing expertise (functional, regression, smoke, sanity)
• Automation frameworks (Selenium / Cypress / Playwright)
• API testing (Postman, REST APIs)
• Bug tracking tools (Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps)
• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation
• CI/CD pipeline awareness

Soft Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science / Software Engineering / IT (preferred in Pakistan industry, but experience can substitute)
